Meditation at the Winter Garden

  • Harold Washington Library Center, Chicago Public Library 400 South State Street Chicago, IL, 60605 United States (map)

Join facilitator Jay Taylor and Wellness4Every1 for an experience in meditation and sound. The Winter Garden in the Harold Washington Library is the perfect space for this event. We invite everyone to lie down or sit comfortably and experience the powerful frequencies of the crystal singing bowls. As the sound evolves, practice the art of acceptance and become aware of sensations, thoughts, emotions, and memories that arise and give way to a deep state of relaxation. No skills or abilities are required to participate and benefit from the experience.

Registration is required here or on the Chicago Public Library website.

Feel free to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and eye mask. Chairs are also available. Doors open at 5:30pm. Meditation begins promptly at 6:00pm and lasts for one hour.
